Introducing the family behind the brand

If you’ve been wondering who's behind the brand Call Jack…It's time to introduce the Calley family. Locals to the Bay Johnny and Michelle Calley are owners of Calley Homes an award winning build company.  You’ve probably seen the Calley Homes signs around town, their utes on the road, their brand on the rugby field or on the court at the Devoy squash club.   One things for sure this family owned and operated business is synonymous with quality and their reputation for beautiful homes second to none. 

Why Call Jack?

The couple decided to start their second venture post Covid with an identified need for qualified trades to take care of renovations, repairs and ongoing home or commercial property maintenance. 

“We had clients who had built with us some years back who needed maintenance programs in place to ensure their homes remained in top condition and warranties intact. We also had people wanting us to do smaller scale renovations that just didn’t fit under the Calley Homes Brand” says Johnny.   Call Jack was launched to take care of all the odd jobs, big jobs, little jobs and renovation projects residential or commercial.  "Our skilled labour force includes qualified builders. plumbers, electricians, painters and general handymen ready to assist you.  We’re offering a one stop shop for all the qualified trades you need to get the job sorted wether it’s a large renovation or a small fix it job” says Johnny. 

"From painting, to plumbing, building to landscaping, even your appliance installation we’ve got the team to get your project sorted.“


One of the service offerings that sets Call jack apart from the typical handyman company is their unique Home WOF service. 

The idea was borne from the need to regularly take care of your home to keep it at it’s best. 

" As a homeowner, you should regularly review the performance of your home. Like your car a home requires cleaning, maintenance and checks to make sure it remains in a safe and sound working order. A Home WOF inspection report will highlight construction defects including structural issues, instability, weather tightness, durability, workmanship and any gradual deterioration. Performance issues detected early can be repaired easily which will avoid extensive and costly remedial work.” says Johnny.  "From the report we can workout any pressing needs and put a maintenance plan in place”.

Call Jack can also take care of your commercial property needs too.  

With extensive experience in building and contract works for commercial property the skilled team can manage your one off projects, insurance or building repairs to your ongoing maintenance needs. 


From shop fit outs to Petrol stations, factory upgrades to commercial refits Johnny has worked across a diverse range of projects outside of the residential sector. 


“We’ve tackled some pretty interesting commercial projects throughout the years so providing the Call Jack service to the commercial sector just makes sense” says Johnny.

General maintenance requested whilst on site is charged at $69.00 + GST per hour. Depending on the scale all full project repairs and maintenance costs will be quoted and priced separately. Travel costs may apply.
